Diptych: 48" x 36" plus 48" x 60" (2 canvases)
Acrylic on canvas
The painting is about a woman wanting to be seen by others—-but isn’t. It’s about being exposed and vulnerable Even sitting bare-skinned, she blends into the flesh colored chair. The classical female sculpture next to her is seen full-on frontal, yet missing its limbs. The man has turned back to look at the wild-haired sculpture or is he catching a glimpse of the undressed woman. Again, the canvases are separate to underscore the figures’ separate worlds, though it looks like they are in the space.
