Shoes tell many different personal stories as well as symbolizing special moments, achievements and journeys.
They can stand for differences in class and identity. I’ve chosen to depict a pair of white pumps very simply. The arrangement
of the shoes can also stand for metaphors for human relationships—closeness or standing apart—something I have always been
interested in with my figurative paintings.
